If you carved a Christmas stick, what would your next stick be? An Easter Stick. I call it the Final Week of Christ. This is also carved out of cherry. The unique thing about this stick is that it has a strap or ribbon that stretches the entire length of the stick, covering parts of the carvings. I chose eight different events that took place during that final week.
1) The Triumphal Entry (John 12:12-19)
2) The Last Supper (John 13:1-38)
3) Garden of Gethsemane (Matthew 23:36-46)
4) The Trial (Luke 23:1-25)
5) The Crucifixion (John 19:16-30)
6) The Burial (Matthew 27:57-66)
7) The Resurrection (Luke 24:1-12)
8) The Ascension (Matthew 28:16-20)
This stick took me about one year to carve. I was able to finish most of it in 2001.
