With the coronavirus pandemic, and the stay-at-home orders, I decided it would be a good time to work on another Bible Stick. This stick, ironically, has to do with another world wide catastrophe, the world flood.
The feature that makes this stick most unique is a separate piece of wood, carved to slide up and down the full length of the stick. That piece represents the rains that came down, and the floods that came up.
The stick is filled with carving of Noah, the Ark, the Flood, lots of Animals, and interesting facts about that event.
Some of the information in the stick:
The ark was 450 feet long, 75 feet wide and 45 feet high
It took 500 year old Noah and his sons 100 years to build the ark
Two of every kind of animal entered the ark, seven of every clean animal
There were eight people on the ark: Noah, his three sons and their wives
It rained for 40 days and 40 nights
The waters flooded the earth for a 150 days
The rains came down and the floods came up
I have carvings of the construction of the ark, the animals entering the ark, the rain clouds, the flood waters rising over the homes and mountains, Noah releasing the dove from the window in the ark, and the eight people who were on the ark, with a rainbow and an altar.
If you go to Videos you will find more information on this stick, showing how it slides back and forth. I started working on this stick in March 2020 and finished it a couple months later, in May 2020. Normally it would take about 2 years to create a stick like this.
